Got my hands-on healing skills from my gran back in Algeria!! Been fixing London’s tired muscles since 2015. Deluxe Massage took me on cuz I do things bit differently lol
My story in massage is kinda random tbh. Back home in Algeria my gran was always the go-to person when someone felt rough – she had this magic touch + knew all about local plants and stuff. Used to make me help her when i was like 10? Just holding bottles of oils at first haha.
Came to London for uni in 2015 (was gonna be a psychologist but NOPE too much reading lol).
Ended up missing how gran would sort everyone’s problems with her hands, so I signed up for this swedish massage course while still doing my psychology thing. Failed one module and had to retake it ughhh.
Worked at this tiny place in North London – the heating was TERRIBLE in winter!! Then got lucky and joined Deluxe in 2019.
My aromatherapy stuff is def not what they teach in schools – gran would probably laugh at those fancy certificates. Been trying to help these super stressed londoners who can’t switch their brains off. Works most of the time, except when it doesn’t.

- Learned the real stuff from my grandmother (no certificate for that!)
- Some swedish massage course I finished in 2017 i think?
- Did that aromatherapy weekend thing in Brighton
- Psychology uni dropout (still useful tho!)
- Worked at that freezing cold place in North London
- With Deluxe since 2019 (best job ever!!)
- Made up that "Algerian Escape" treatment that ppl seem to like
